Target and Christmas

Hi friends! So I have been going to target this past week and checking out the dollar section and oh my gosh I mean you can’t get any cuter then what they offer for such an amazing price I started getting my dining room space decorated for Christmas, I know it’s still October but I want to be able to share ideas with you guys before the season arrives 🙂

0C46DBC1-980B-48BA-B5FB-FE014479B99D First off I got this adorable 3 tiered tray off of amazon Link: Tiered Tray I choose to not add the third tray to it though, the little bottle brush trees are from hobby lobby and the tea towel is from last year dollar section at target as well as the little tree stirs. The rest of the stuff is Rae Dunn other then the gnome which is from TJ Maxx. I know Rae Dunn is hard to find sorry 😦 The cute little have yourself a merry little Christmas sign is also from target dollar spot. I hope you can use this as a fun little way to decorate a coffee bar or just an accent table that you have for the holiday season. 059BD138-6E89-4810-B124-770FED7DA4B3

We just sanded and redid the top of our dining table and finally got it sealed with some matte polyurethane, we stained it with a dark walnut and then used a weathered grey stain on top and then did a really good wipe and put a white wash on top and once it was dry we did a light sand to give it a real distressed look. I used a blanket scarf from the target dollar section as a table cover. The placemats are from homegoods. The chargers I got last year at michaels on clearance but I do know that you can find them out and about at craft stores or pier1 I think I have seen them.  I love layering the plates at adding the napkins and the little plates are also Rae Dunn. If you have questions about where the other items in the picture are from please feel free to message me or comment on the post 🙂 hope y’all are having a great Monday and I can give you a little Christmas inspire

Bathroom Makeover

Hey guys!!! It’s been so long since I have posted on here I am going to really try at posting slot more often, life really gets in the way sometimes especially having 4 Little’s. I wanted to share our bathroom makeover with you all. We are finally on our way to complete completion. We decided to do shiplap walls which are fake shiplap which is way cheaper then real shiplap on all the walls and we repurposed the vanity that was already there. Totally loved how it turned out, we repainted and we also had some leftover butcher block from our kitchen renovation that we used for the counter and we got the sink from amazon for only $60!! The faucet was also from amazon and I want to say it cost is around $40 so it truly was a cheap makeover for the vanity. The light was purchased from Lowe’s and we thought it for perfect with the farmhouse loooner we’re going for. Lowe’s is a huge go to for us, we purchased the tile there as well it is called del coma vintage grey tile. The galvanized shelves were purchased off of amazon as well as the black soap sign, shower curtain and the wall hooks, obviously were fans of Amazon. If you have questions please feel free to ask on the blog or you can also send me a DM on Instagram or Facebook

Best Farmhouse Style Greenery

Hi Guys, I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th holiday, I know that we sure did hanging out with our family and friends and of course some great food! I feel like every year after July 4th is over the rest of the summer just flies by and were back at school before we know it heading into Halloween but I dont want to rush that!

Today I am going to be sharing the best farmhouse greenery for your home. This of course is just my opinion but I do see alot of others on Instagram using these same types of greenery. I absolutely love faux greenery, I totally stink at keeping plants alive I mean I killed succulents and those are suppose to be really hard to kill so fake plants are for sure up my ally. The Ikea plants are my favorite I would have to say but I dont get to Ikea very often but when I do I like to stock up because the best part about them is that they are only $3.99!!

Then we have the boxwoods, oh how I just love boxwood wreaths! I have personally found that Target has decent prices on them and I normally wait till they offer a sale and then use my red card for the extra 5%.

I have quite a few of these in my house and I am always moving them around, I also have a few of the smaller ones that I have gotten at local shops that sell farmhouse decor if your from northeast Ohio I know you can purchase them at Gable Lane and also  Funkyjunk Boutique

21.5″ Boxwood at Target

I also love to use these adorable little wreaths on my table settings as well as little hooks and I also have them on a couple of my cabinet doors in the kitchen.

These adorable little wreaths you can purchase at Magnolia and also you can purchase them at a local shop called Elements on Main and she also ships.

Lastly I absolutely adore these lamb ear stems and of course cotton stems. you can get both of these at hobby lobby here for the Cotton and here for the Lambs Ear. All of these are very budget friendly and can really make a space feel cozy. Its all in the detail that brings a room to life. I hope you all enjoy your weekend make sure you follow me on Instagram XOXO

Kitchen Reno

Hey guys! So its been a couple of months since we finished renovating our kitchen but I wanted to share with you guys about it. The day we moved in this house i realized how bad it really was, the wood was rotted out under the sink from a leak we had no idea had been there and the faucet was all rickety and there was this tiny apartment size dish washer that would never be able to do enough dishes for a family of 6 thats for sure! We stuck it out while we worked on alot of other things that needed done in the house to make it our “home”.  Anyways back to the reno haha, the first to go was the floor, it was a high gloss vinyl that looked like a honey oak so we took it out and installed reclaimed wood tile which my husband did himself which saved lots of money with him knowing how to install tile. We also had lost alot of cabinet space compared to our old kitchen so the hubby built us a pantry so that solved our space problem. Here is a picture of the pantry that he installed, this was just a wall with a clothe shoot and he took it out and we used the dead space in better ways. 17362402_10210792543441860_8893105632080613415_n

We decided to keep the cabinets that we had and we replaced the rotted board under the sink and built some dividers between the cabinets that were not there before and refresh them with a new paint lift as well as new hardware. We got maple butcherblock countertops from lumber liquidators and installed new subway tile back splash. We also went to Ikea and got a farmhouse sink with a new faucet. We did have to alter the cabinets a little for the sink to fit but it just looks great and you would think it had been there the entire time. Aaron also took out this horrible breakfast nook area that was open to the living room and we installed a butcherblock top with some piping legs and also took out the post that had this horrible original track lights. The paint color on the walls are silver strand on the top by Sherwin Williams and the bottom is Du Jour by Valspar. The cabinet color top is also Du Jour and the bottom is Fashion Grey by Behr. Attached are some before and after pictures and links to where you can find products that we used in our kitchen. Enjoy your day friends! Please feel free to post any comments I would love to answer any of your questions.

Bedroom Makeover

Good Morning! Today I am going to be sharing a few of my favorite pieces from our bedroom. This room has come along way, I will be posting a picture of what it use to look like and its the picture I took from the internet when it was up for sale. We moved in a year ago this past March. At our old house we out grew our house quite quickly with four children and we got our room moved to the downstairs office which wasnt horrible but it wasnt what we wanted as a master of course. So I was pretty determined to make a getaway for our room which is not quite there yet I still need to replace the drapes on the other window on the other side of the room and we need to shiplap the wall across from our bed. But it still has come along ways. The paint color we used is called Silver Satin by Benjamin Moore and I really wanted the Magnolia Home paint called shiplap so I found this color on pinterest and it is very similar so I settled. Here are the comparisons for the colors. FullSizeRender

One of the things that really brings warmth to this room is all the detail, I have become obsessed with throw pillows but they have so much warmth and completion to the room. The pillows is one of the different textiles that I was talking about that just really helps making the room look put together. I also added a rug under the bed to add a layer to the floor. The chair in the corner was a DIY. I purchased it off a swap site and it was a ugly pee yellow and I chalk painted it using painters tape to create the stripes. Here is a link of the instructions I used to paint my chair.  http://www.thepurplepaintedlady.com/2014/04/using-chalk-paint-to-paint-your-couch-or-wing-back-chair/

Here are the Before and After of our bedroom. We added the crown molding in here and changed the light and painted. We also painted the closet doors a pure white using spray paint because they were so a dingy yellow. The large wood sign above the bed is from Glamwood Designs https://www.etsy.com/listing/505861732/you-are-the-best-thing-that-has-ever?ref=hp_rv I highly recommend her, her work is just amazing! So make sure you check her out and also you can follow her on Instagram. This room was very budget friendly as well. It was helpful that my husband put up the crown and we didnt have to hire anyone but I am a bargin shopper and always looking for a good price so I will include links to the the items that I can in the picture. I hope you all enjoy my before and after of our bedroom. Please feel free to comment if you have any questions about anything. Much love XO!
